Experience West-Friesland

eXperience 113 West-Friesland triathlon will take place in the city of Enkhuizen. Enkhuizen is one of the many historical places situated along the IJsselmeer. You can do one of the famous city walks to see the rich variaty in monumental buildings or just relax and have a very nice diner in one of the many outstanding restaurents.
Athletes will embark on a one-loop, 1.2-mile (1.9-km) swim that takes place in the waters of the IJsselmeer, located at Enkhuizerzand. During the 56-mile (90.1-km) bike course, athletes will pass through the back country of West-Friesland, experiencing old pitoresque towns, farmland and a scenic ride along the shoreline of the IJsselmeer which allow for spectator support.

A three-loop, 13.1-mile (21.1-km) run course winds athletes through the city of Enkhuizen, completing a total distance of 70.3-mile (113-km). The course will take the athletes literaly over the old city wall along the famous Koepoort, Drommedaris and ancient harbour.
